My Indie Dev Journey with Last Man Standing
Hey everyone 👋🏻
I’m an indie game developer — but more importantly, I’m just a person who loves creating worlds from nothing and sharing that journey openly with others. What started as a simple passion project has grown into something much bigger: a living, evolving adventure that I want to build together with you.
When I first started working on LMS (Last Man Standing), I had no big studio, no budget, and no team — just an idea, a laptop, and a stubborn belief that I could build something meaningful. It wasn’t about chasing fame or money. It was about learning, experimenting, failing, improving, and most importantly, sharing every step of the process with people who care about games as much as I do.
From the very beginning, I decided to treat this project not just as a game, but as a story. I started recording devlogs and podcasts — casual, behind-the-scenes episodes where I talk about design choices, technical struggles, creative ideas, and all the unexpected lessons that come with indie development. Sometimes it’s about gameplay systems, sometimes it’s about how to stay motivated when things go wrong, and sometimes it’s just me thinking out loud about what fun really means in a game.
But the best part? I’m not doing this alone anymore.
Something amazing happened once I started sharing the process publicly: people started to care. They gave feedback, shared ideas, asked questions, and offered support. Slowly, a small but passionate community began to form — one that’s just as excited about the project as I am. And that’s when I realized: this isn’t just my journey anymore. It’s ours.
Now, every new feature, every story beat, every design decision is influenced not just by my vision, but by the conversations we’re having as a community. LMS is evolving into something bigger than I could ever create alone. And that’s exactly how I want it to be.
At its core, this whole project — the game, the podcast, the devlogs — is about building together. It’s about showing that you don’t need a massive team or a huge budget to make something meaningful. All you need is passion, persistence, and a group of people who believe in the journey as much as you do.
So, if you love games, creativity, storytelling, or just want to watch something grow from the ground up, I’d love for you to be part of this adventure. Follow along, join the discussions, throw in your ideas, or just sit back and enjoy the ride. Whatever role you want to play, you’re welcome here. 🧡
This is just the beginning — and I can’t wait to see where we take it together. 🚀
